El Día de la Actividad Física se celebra en el mes de abril, fecha institucionalizada por la Organización Mundial de la Salud planteándose como objetivo la necesidad de difundir los beneficios de la práctica de la actividad física por lo menos treinta minutos diarios y así mejorar la salud de la población mundial.
«La actividad física de cualquier tipo y de cualquier duración puede mejorar la salud y el bienestar, pero más es siempre mejor», dijo el Dr. Ruediger Krech, Director de Promoción de la Salud de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, quien añadió que, «si debes pasar mucho tiempo sentado, ya sea en el trabajo o en la escuela, debes hacer más actividad física para contrarrestar los efectos nocivos del sedentarismo».
Nuestro colegio celebró el día 18 de abril con una alta convocatoria y entusiasmo en las dos jornadas mañana y tarde, «El Día de la Actividad Física», con la realización de distintas actividades en torno a la actividad deportiva. Los alumno(as) y profesores se distribuyeron en las áreas comunes del colegio donde practicaron una multiplicidad de actividades, competencia de baile y competencias de trabajo en equipo en hileras, entre otros.
Queremos agradecer al profesor Fernando Padilla y a todos los y las estudiantes de diferentes cursos, que prestaron colaboración en el montaje, orden y arbitraje de las competencias en este importante evento deportivo.
